Sometimes. But some apps still don't stop after you've disabled all notifications. If I disable it and it happens again, I immediately uninstall and often give a negative review.

That never happened to me. I usually click "don't allow" notifications right upon installing the app because I don't want to be bothered by them, and I never had any problems. Can you give me an example of apps that do it? I'm really curious now.

Words with Friends did this a lot. Or maybe it was Scramble (I think that's what it was called - the boggle game). I also think Draw Something did it. But it's hard for me to remember for sure because I delete the apps as soon as it starts happening, then I can't remember which apps I deleted for which reasons.

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I used to have Draw Something on my ipad but at that time I still allowed notifications, so I can't tell if the app did that. Anyway, it's good to know which apps to avoid in the future.

Or the very first time one second after opening the app it asks for a rating. Usually when that happens I instantly close the app uninstall and give them a rancid one star review.
