Yeah, might work for a white person. Or maybe even not for them... a black guy will only show this to a coroner.

The problem I have with this is that it's a passive-aggressive statement that you will not comply unless given everything you're entitled to. Sometimes, that's called being a bitch. Like at a traffic stop. You're being a bitch if you demand a lawyer before talking to the police. This card is basically saying "fuck off".

And also, the police will realize this and to spite you, slap you for every technicality they can. Not putting blinkers 50 ft before turning, not a full stop within six inches of the line, speeding by two mph, driving with a phone in hand...

You still have to provide identification to the police if asked. Otherwise it's obstruction because if you're being detained there has to be someone identified for the crime. I.e. If you run a stop sign they need to know who to issue the citation to. Otherwise you're going to jail for not telling them and they'll figure out who you are when you get there

You could just show it to them, but not hand it to them.

The police should have to pass these out every time they stop someone. Because if they know that you don't know they can lie to you about it.

A similar issue arose from the Miranda trial. He got off because he didn't know his rights, so that's why they read them to you as you are being detained.

If I remember correctly, he then got into a bar fight where he was killed, and the man that was arrested was read his Miranda rights!

That's a lot to say to exercise your right to silence.
