An honest Q here, why are men impressed by beards?
How does that even go? Is it just deemed 'manly' to have full head of hair on the lower part of your face?
Yep, it's like an unspoken right of passage. You can't go around exposing your privates to prove your a man (back in the good ol days of the Roman Empire you could but now that it is frowned upon). So, next best thing, grow a beard.
Ahhh! You're on to something there! I think the shoes and perhaps the baseball caps? Although I don't personally know many guys who wear those...
I think wearing those shirt with funny phrases or puns on them might also be an equivalent.
Earlier comments. Genders have challenges with their own gender. Like how women try to out do each other sometimes, men do the same.
Have you never heard of how men look when they're using urinals to see their competition ? Like that.
I am a big fan of facial hair and I will take the time to go out of my way to compliment a man's beard. On many guys, it makes them more physically attractive, for me at least, unkempt 'hobo' beards aren't pleasing to the eye however.. A long and/or well-maintained beard is more than just style, it's shows patience in that man to work at something. It's more than just not shaving, it's a discipline.
First off, do whatever makes you feel good, your wife will get over it.
Secondly, maintain that hairy beast. My boyfriend has a beard, and was really unkempt while he was growing it. But now that it's the length and fullness he wants, he "manscapes" that and it's sexy as ever. :P
