A pic will help but this is how I've done it. tie your hair up but don't pull it through the elastic all the way, pulling a tiny bit out. Then split the loop in half and pin the sides. With the tiny bit of hair you left out, pin it to be the middle of the bow.
Y'all are aware she's wearing what looks to be extensions, right? Take note of the right side and the fact that there are some shadows created between the brown and purple. That means, YOU TOO CAN CREATE THIS LOOK FOR PROBABLY ONLY $200!!!
its always extensions. i never had any idea how many women wear extensions before the body scanner, now i can spot them from a mile away... no wonder no one compliments my long hair anymore, they just assume its fake too.
