Not all of us. I respect freedom of speech, and I try to not get butt-hurt over a name. Giving something a name does not determine what it is. The actions speak louder than words.
I think they are both equally offensive because they are both racially motivated. If you feel you can call me one of them, don't be angry when I call you the other right back.
Umm...no, they're both offensive but not by a long shot equally offensive. Its like adding salt to a paper cut and a broken arm, both of them hurt of course, but one is adding insult to an already terrible injury. The n word has over 300 years worth of negative stereotypes, anger, racism and oppression attached to it, where as the word cracker is a word specifically created so that black people could have an insult to call white people while they went through all that stuff . You shouldn't say either one, but you can't honestly say you don't know which is worse.
I already said they're bad and shouldn't be said. Did you read? The only difference between what you said and what I said is that the n word is obviously the worse of two evils.
As someone who has never owned a slave, I am offended by the 'c' word. How dare you sit there and say that racism against blacks is more important than racism against whites or any other color. Racism is wrong period. Whites have been slaves too. Maybe not as profound in America (before you even argue, native Americans took white slaves) but there have been whites enslaved by blacks. slavery is wrong and so is racism regardless of the race. You can't say one is worse than the other because they are both born out of spite and hatred.

Learn to read and understand. I am not going to explain myself. I believe both words are wrong to say, and I will never use either of them, unless referring to the food item called "cracker". Derogatory words are not really a part of my vocabulary. That is why I said they are both EQUALLY WRONG to say. Society tries to dictate that one is worse than the other, because society made it that way. Forget societal law. Strip the problem to the bare minimum, and then you will see what I am saying.
So what do we think of making fun of ourselves? Racially? Or whatever? How would you feel if a gay made fun of gays? Or Christians making fun of Christians? I make fun of Asians all the time, am I a bad person?
That is one of those fine lines. I make fun of myself all the time. It is when words are spoken with anger and hatred that there is a problem. I personally would never use one of those words as a joke.
But what about black people going around all like "eyy ma nigga"? It's done within the same race without malice, so it's ok?
Your rule is no malice right?
I prefer we just refer to each other as "friend" or "human", which is a global title. Stop with malicious intent, and just be kind to one another. Hell, you can hate/dislike each other without using negative name-calling.
Why hate people based on their color when you can hate them based on their personalities and actions...maybe people are racist because it takes too long to get to know someone enough to pinpoint why you hate them...people can be very lazy.
Okay, I'm seeing a lot of people putting words in my mouth. As a person who comes from a long line of slaves and is still discriminated against to this day, I'm offended by the n word. I never said one form of racism is worst than the other, I said that using a word centered around the oppression and hate twords one race is worse than using a word that offends some people because they didn't cause the suffering directly. And again, I will repeat that both of these words are terrible and shouldn't be used by anyone, but its like saying "what the hell" and "what the fuck", neither are good phrases but one is permitted to be on TV because it is seen as less than a curse even if "sociaty made it that way"
Okay. Nobody is putting words in your mouth. Both words are racial slurs and should not be used, regardless of the history behind them. I hate to burst your bubble, but everyone is discriminated against nowadays, due to society. It doesn't matter what race, gender, religious background, etc. Everyone gets discriminated against. Now, I apologize that you are discriminated against. However, you should rise above the hate, and motivate others to not allow the hatred to bother them. I know that sounds like a tall order, and a white person shouldn't say that. Well, I get discriminated against for other things. It is time we, as the human race, move on from the tyrannical rule of discrimination, and worry about better things in life, such as love, instead of hate. You seem like a cool person, sir. I just think you need to see the bigger picture is all.
This comment section is waaaayyy off. Are you really offended by the word cracker? You're offended that you're being called a food item? I'm white and being called cracker, mayo, Becky whatever else is not at all comparable to the n word. I would be more offended if someone called me a bitch than a cracker. And FYI reverse racism is not real.
