I would never be able to bring myself to say good for you for smoking. Everything else on that list is fine but smoking, it just isn't. You're killing yourself slowly. That isn't fine
I think the message behind the post is to not treat these people badly because of their decisions. However, some of the habits, like smoking, should be discouraged since they are hazardous to the individual and other people.
Of course we should treat people based on their decisions. I say we don't treat people based on WHO THEY ARE (race, gender, sexuality, ect). What else would we judge people on if not their decisions?
I mean not judge to the point of belittling them because of what they do or don't do. For example, don't put someone down because they do or don't wear makeup, sleep around, or dress a certain way.
There's a fine line between warning and making fun of. And more often than not the receiver understands the communication as hostile instead of attempts at being helpful which is easily half the problem.
I actually don't agree with the smoking. Weed is whatever, but cigarettes are bad. They're bad for you and bad for the people around you. I feel sorry for cigarette smokers because odds are they're slowly killing themselves and their lungs. And if someone who is drinking is an alcoholic then it's also a problem. I just hope for people to be healthy and happy....
You wanna smoke , okay. But smoke inside someplace where only you will get cancer because of it, dont throw your cigarette butts out the window while driving, dont smoke in public where others breath in the smoke. Why should others have to suffer the consequences of your smoking? Wanna smoke great, but dont take others down with you. Its not a violation of your rights because you have the choice to smoke or not, however someone getting cancer because someone else wants to smoke is not cool.
People judge other people and situations all the time. It's part of our survival instinct and who we are. Get over it. Posting utter nonsense like this doesn't make you enlightened, which, oddly enough, is exactly what people who post these things want everyone to believe.
The only thing that I'm not okay with is smoking. I mean, if you want to inhale poison then that is your choice but I don't like being subjected to second hand smoke.
You know who I've found to be super judgmental? People with lots of tattoos. I don't give a $#!+ about their ink, but because I don't have any, several of them decided I must be judgmental about *them* without me even making a comment.
I found that really surprizing, since they're the ones who claim to be on the bad side of overjudgmental people.
Well ita 50-80 million, but the estimated amount is 60 :P
>judges them
Also holy shit all the anti-smoke fags in these comments.
