No one should ever burn books. Unless they are cold and out of wood, in which case I can agree that it would make sense.
My friends and I burned our books from high school once we graduated.
But we also burned a basketball pole/hoop, shed, couches, a TV, and a panio among other things <.< >.>
I promised to burn all my Statistics journals and reference and practise books after school, but I couldn't muster up the courage to, I ended up collecting all the books that the other students dumped after the last examination and donated them.
Well, if you really thought about it from a unbiased point of view, it was a very effective tactic of isolating free thought but burning the source of most independent thought and imagination
