Women aren't typically put in combat zones or in nearly as much as men in certain mos' . Also. I can't wait to see how women justify the post

Ranger correct me if I'm wrong but if they are allowed in infantry. Wouldn't that have to be extremely recent due to the 2 officers who passed ranger school? Which was literally about a week ago.

Isn't it still in the process of being allowed? Like they have the end of the year to open up combat mos' to women or give good reason why they shouldn't be allowed in
texasranger

Idk the exact rules were that women where not allowed in the INFANTRY not including most other combat related roles fighter pilot, armor, atrillery etc.

Yeah that I know. They can do non direct combat. For lack of a description. But actual infantry is still a no go at least for now

My government teacher talked about this in class one day insted of teaching us. He said that women weren't put in combat because of what would happen if they were caught by the other side. Torture for women is very different from torture for men.

Nah they've had woman in the military since the 90's I think
texasranger

Military is different than the Infantry my friend. The US miltary is huge, the Army/marine corps infantry however are the grunts on the ground with a rife taking bullets thats about 10% of the entire military. Oh and bookworm is right

As men we do give our lives, but the biggest regret on the battlefield is to leave those behind to fend for themselves. It's sick that it's used for something like political advantage, but the men left behind do not think of the pain of their own deaths, but the pain of their families without them.

'We' give our lives? Dude you're on a keyboard not an AK. Majority of modern men will never see a war. Thank fuck

Could you even imagine if conscription existed these days? (Although I know there are some countries where 1-2 years of service for the country must be completed). But seriously..I look at 18 year olds these days and just think no way in hell would they survive. For starters they'd never do what they're told! There's no respect.

I mean, yeah...actually DYING is pretty much the ultimate victim, but I kind of get what she's trying to say. Someone I love recently died and, sometimes, between being dead and being left behind, I think she got the better end of the bargain. Yeah, it's selfish. But I have to live the rest of my life without her and I'm PISSED.

Well guys, look at the last few wars... how many civilians (50/50 men/women) died compared to the number of soldiers... get it?

I hate how politicians twist things so much. Now I'm not saying that women and children aren't victims of war because they are unfortunately. But for Hilary to say, or at least allude, that men aren't victims of war is asinine to me, they are the ones actually dying in war, often far away from their homes and loved ones in a strange land.
