yeah dumbass, the criminals will still get their hands on guns even if they're made illegal. So for the rest of us, we won't be able to defend ourselves if some criminal breaks into our house with a gun. It would just cause more problems
What're you taking about guest? They never got rid of guns they've made it stricter on certain weapons and made it to where you need a permit for every gun you own. Many of the gun laws in Australia were created and have been law since the mid 90's but mass shootings have still occurred. Take the Hectorville incident in 2011 it was a mass shooting that killed three people and wounded two officers.
Different guest here:
In response to Mexico having strict gun laws, yet still getting guns: the majority of their guns come from the united states bought legally (because of our very lax regulations) and then smuggled across the border. So common sense dictates that if we put in place stricter gun regulations, we would have fewer (if any) shootings. I.e. Australia. And there would be no one to smuggle in in the guns to us (because our two neighboring countries would have similar strict gun laws) which means we wouldn't have to worry about "criminals get guns illegally" because there would be no where near to get them (which is what Mexico is doing now).
Mexico's paramilitaries and drug cartels can go anywhere to get guns and weaponry, many of them can build weapons on their own. No matter how strict the laws and no matter how hard it is to get weaponry you'll still have those who'll get them use them in unfortunate and terrible ways.
But, some schools have it so that now there are teachers with guns, and they have to go through health screenings first, but you know. There's always that one teacher who loses his-hers shit and might start a school shooting. Luckily this hasn't happened yet.
I carry a pocket knife on me at all times (I'm currently under 18 so it'd be hard if not impossible to get a conceal carry license but I'll be getting one soon) including in school just in case something were to happen.
Gonna get hate for this, but someone has to say it. If you are a legal owner of a gun, and your argument is that you own a gun for 'protection', then my response would be that 'guns are dangerous if they're laying out and about'. Your response would probably be 'but I'm a responsible gun owner and keep my gun locked in my safe upstairs'. In which case I would ask 'then how is that protection? What sort of attacker is going to wait for you to unlock your safe at home?
In what way are guns a danger if they're laying out and about? Considering I don't have kids or younger siblings who'll mess with it what then makes it unsafe?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Except your drunk self. But common sense is to store firearms and weapons in general in a weapons safe right? Well...a safe weapon by definition can't hurt anyone. And having a safe weapon when you need it is about as useless as shitting yourself in bed while you get stabbed.
You are all nuts. Just looking at your responses to this shows why you guys have a gun problem. I just hope one of your loved ones isn't next to die due to your pig headedness.
Key words, you kill people. I could kill someone with a fork that doesn't mean they should be banned or we should have laws against the use or ownership of forks.
I've searched the Internet for at least two years in the hopes of finding an actual COD-type juggernaut suit. Unfortunately, the closest thing is this EOD suit I've linked. Although this is technically bulletproof to an insane level, you still wouldn't want to use this to be the front line because you're so hampered.
Super strict gun regulations.
Yet all these gangs with a buncha guns.

Oops. Better make sure Tyler doesn't breathe anymore.
Find materials light enough to use in a COD-style juggernaut suit.
