Look kids, I'm a fifth generation American, a semi-conservative, and a capitalist. If you don't want to he called on behaving like an inbred belligerent who wears stars-n-stripes harem pants, don't act like it. This image is an excerpt from a book-long poem by Carl Sandburg, who to my knowledge was neither a socialist nor a communist. It's a depression-era work that could probably be described as Populist depending on your viewpoint.

What if someone takes your child from you by main force because they want him or her for their personal ends, and they don't believe you should have your child because they don't have a child, and no one can do anything to help you get the child back because the ones who took your precious baby are the goddamn government? Well this went on in communist Russia, and still goes on today in multiple socialist and communist nations. England is notorious for Its psychosis about children, including last year the woman they cut open and took her baby from her. See, if you allow your attitude to become "oh-please-come-wipe-my-ass-I-can't-take-care-of-myself" toward your government to do it with everyone's possessions, then you lose EVERYTHING to the government, including even your offspring. Now you can either stop whining about Americans' vengeful attitude toward socialism and keep your children in your home with the family who loves them, or you can lose everything in order to live in a cage.

If you could read you'd see I said I was American and that this was an excerpt from a work that wasn'r socialist or communist. You would also see that I never endorsed communism or socialism, and that my response was to the knee-jerk reaction of backwater fear-mongerers to scream about socialism or communism as soon as they see something they don't like. Nice try, though.
So, eleven years of college hasn't taught you what "hypocrite" is.
Go back far enough and somebody beat the shit out of somebody for any given piece of land.
This same concept is the reason why reparations for black people is silly.

Your taxes fund the local government with the expectation of the police keeping things from getting to this point, so there's that! Still not as cool as being rich enough for private security though.
]ust how much of your stuff do you give to those who want it because, in their view, they're less fortunate than you. Even a poor person in the west is better off than 80% of the rest of the world. Yet, we see all this stuff where the person with decent medical care, abundant food, opportunity for a job, a cell phone, etc., thinks *he's* the one who's downtrodden. But they never seem to share much with people who have one pair of shoes, or no shoes.
