Here's my take on police shootings and the like.
I am of the belief that those who draw fast are those unused to power and need that weapon to confirm that they are in fact the one that's supposed to be in control. "used to power" doesn't mean having power for a long time such as being a cop for years, it means knowing that you have power but you don't need to use all of it right here and now.
I'm not saying under threat of life. If someone's life is threatened I'm going for the kill, no ifs ands or buts. But if someone's yelling at me, I don't immediately go for my weapon because I don't need the security of being behind a killing machine to handle the situation.
I've never been attacked by a dog but I'd imagine it's not too hard to kick it as it comes towards you then run the fuck away. Or use those fancy telescoping clubs they carry. Scare the animal enough that it doesn't charge right at you, then wobble away while making sure it doesn't follow.
Well I'm a reasonable human and if nobody's life is being threatened I don't threaten other's lives. If something bites me I'm gonna kick it, human or otherwise. Unless it's too small to kick, like a mosquito, Then I'll light that fucker up. Because fuck mosquitoses.

If some kid bit you would you shoot him, because dogs aren't just animals, their members of our family's. Oh, and if you kill my dog, just know, you have just provoked my most unstoppable rage, and I will do anything to get revenge. It don't matter if your a cop or not to me, if they don't put you in jail for animal cruelty, then I'm going to make sure you never get near a dog again, and get you fired from the police force.
If a kid came up to me on the street and bit me I'd kick it regardless of age gender or race. But a reasonable bite. As in leaving a deep mark and/or drawing blood. Same with a dog. If it bites me I'm gonna kick it regardless of size breed or presence of the owner. But a good bite. Not like a little love bite but a chomp. If a dog chomps me I'm gonna kick it. Use common sense in situations.

It would be nice if this was actually normal, and people wouldn't need to give awards for people like this, becuase all cops are doing stuff like this all the time, and doing the right thing, so they would have too many people and wouldn't be able to give them all awards.
Ps. If you shot my dog, I will try my very best to hurt you, cause you just killed my a member of my family and I'm very upset
it depends on the severity of the bite, and if the person who is bit presses charges against the animal's owner. In most cases the owners are held responsible for damages, but only if the person who is injured decides to press charges. And again, it could have just been a simple bite that didn't draw blood or need stitches.
i think being as its a police officer and probably working and thus having to report it complicates the matter. i mean i would HOPE him being all "he was protecting the child" will keep the dog safe, but i have lots of doubts about how that will play out.

Intimidating shouldn't be the first thing you jump to.
