All he has to do is use one island, not make a genetic dinosaur and not hire an ass that will lock you out of the mainframe and keeps asking you for a magic word so you have to turn off the power causing a T-Rex and raptors to escape
I'm afraid that if he achieves the impossible and is actually successful in bringing dinosaurs back the majority of the population will respond to those of us that point out the dangers with the intelligent response of "Doesn't matter we have dinosaurs, look a dinosaur" no matter what is pointed out to them.
For everyone who is uneducated about this, Jack Horner isn't creating a dinosaur, its going to act exactly like a regular chicken, all he is going to do is make it look different. He's trying to give slight characteristics like tail feathers and a snout instead of a beak, maybe slight different color and bone structure, but in the end, it's going to be a chicken. Also, this "dinosaur" that Jack Horner is creating will only by hatch if the world agrees on it, because there are people who are going to want him to not mess with nature. Educate yourself before you make stupid comments, it take's no longer then ten minutes.
To bad it still won't work. There's still huge problems with this, the least of which is he's not even a geneticist.

I've read the original article and it seems it is at best overly optimistic and a lot of assumptions are being made.
.
A chicken with "dinosaur features" isn't a dinosaur. It's a mutant chicken.
Not to mention that the means by which to do this haven't even been discovered/invented yet and may be further off than the 5/10 year timeline.
.
TL;DR:
Mutant chicken? Yes.
Dinosaur? No.
Did we not have a saga on exactly why this should not happen

Wow. That's optimistic. We're barely on to viruses and bacteria.
I wonder how a chicken is going to turn out.
