If you're gonna incite the Geneva Convention I refute that with the statement that it only applies to civilian/POW treatment in wartime.

America is in a war technically

technically not but for all practical purposes yes. I don't think we can declare war on al Qaeda or Isis because they're not nations. They're a political religious group.

Not really the Korean war ended but America is in a sort of cold war with N. Korea

I don't think we ever signed a peace treaty.

I don't think you did either but it's still not a proper war...

Technically it is isn't it? It's a silent agreement not to do anything stupid to each other. Like make movies about assassinating each other's heads of state. And then making plans to mass-drop copies of the movie into massively populated areas.

That's a good summary of it...

If the bell doesn't decide when I leave, it can't decide that I'm late.

Why's the dean from community making you stay in class

If Jeff was there, the dean would keep everyone but Jeff back

My first period is Algebra, and my teacher holds us after at least a full minute every day, and my second period is theatre arts which is all the way across the school, so I'm almost always late to second period. Luckily my Theatre teacher is cool and cuts me a break.

if teachers say "i dismiss you, not the bell" then why is there a bell

Exactly! There is no point in having a bell if the teacher will not honor the fact that the bell means class is over.

Ugh I have a teacher that does this, but when I have jazz ban before school that literally end like a minute and a half from first bell he expects the band teacher to give every kid in it a not or something

I think the real problem is people noisily gathering things and running out the door when the teacher was in mid-sentence as the bell sounded. A few seconds of courtesy would go a long way.
