Im actually fairly pale (blue eyed deep blonde hair type pale) and I can say that I have only sunburned once in my life and I tan incredibly easy. Ive amazed people by how little sunscreen I have to use to prevent sunburn.
I've heard that there are two types of pale people, ones who tan and ones who burn. And they say that if you burn easily you're probably from the north ( like Ireland and Scandinavia ) but if you tan easily ( or at all in most cases ) you're from the south ( Spain or Italy ) unless you're mixed with something else
I used to get teased about it all the time because when we'd go out for p.e I'd be glowing.
