Older adults that say teens don't have anything are the ones that don't need to be stressed if anything. They have a shit load of responsibilities like us but they aren't pressured to do anything unless like idk it's play bingo on tuesday instead of wednesday
I seriously don't know why people keep saying they have 6+ hours of homework. Even if I get homework from all my subjects it doesn't take me more than an hour and a half.
I'm a high school junior. I take AP courses in Math, English, Science, Latin, and History, as well as Computer Science, Fine Arts, PE and Driver's Ed, plus I'm on our varsity soccer team. I get on average 5 hours of homework a night, 3 on good days, 6.5 on bad days, and I have to fit it all around soccer practice and my internship with my local vet's office...
So yeah, high school is a heckuva lotta stress.
I never had 6 hours of homework.
As for socializing, you go to a school full of living breathing human beings, which at some point, you will need to interact with them. Lastly, there is this mysterious thing called holidays and weekends. There's your free time.
Yes, when going to school you generally socialize by default, but if you are a loner or ostracized, or go to an online school... Things are different. And depending on your class load(AP classes or not and some schools have 6 classes some have more like 8) depends on how much homework you have
Just because someone goes to a place full of people, doesn't mean they interact a lot. Last year I isolated myself from my friends and family to focus on college and my two jobs in order to get into university and whilst yes, I communicated with classmates and teachers, that was for a limited time and after that I was on my own. Needless to say, working 16+ hours along with college and other work without really socializing resulting in me having a mental breakdown. And as for weekends and holidays... well I had to fit those job hours in somewhere. I had no time for socializing then either
