In my opinion that seems a little young. I was 14 almost 15 when I started having sex (younger when I started doing the things that come before that), and I wasn't ready for the emotional dependency that comes with a sexual relationship.
I had been with this girl for a year, I was a very responsible kid, very mature in my day to day, and that emotional side just wasn't there yet. (And I'm not sure it is for a lot of kids)
I always wore protection, you should always be wearing protection.

Tell me about it, my little sister came home from 6th grade yesterday and told me everyone was crowding around a USED condom. 6th-8th grade, guys. One of the teachers saw what they were looking at, and simply said, "Get away from there. They're practicing safe sex." My mother was rippin' mad.
I was 15 when I had my first kiss and seriously it's not gonna be good if it's not the right person. The kiss itself was fine but I seriously cringed cuz I didn't like him. He wasn't ugly or anything just it wasn't right

There you are kissing wrong people, and here I am , not been able to even touch the girl of my choice.
I don't know how it works where you live, but back in my da... I mean where I live the age of consent is more like an age limit. Two people under that age can have sex, but one older and one younger is illegal.
In middle school, there's a lot of talk about sex and relationships and not a whole lot of doing. Granted, I graduated middle school 3-4 years ago and I know there are middle schoolers who have already had sex, but that covers a minority of that age group and I doubt it has changed THAT drastically in 3-4 years.
Things I was worried about when I was 13: whether the clothes I picked out actually matched or if my parents gave up. Things these kids are worried about at 13: whether or not she's pregnant.
