But you also breathe out when you talk, so it would need a way to stay in the body despite of breathing.

But would the microparticle have to be continually pumped in?

I would guess so... but it would be easier than an oxygen tank maybe?

I read an article about this (can't find it now) where they would put the crystals in an oxygen tank roughly the size of a 21oz bottle. Then it would slowly dissipate the oxygen from the tank. The tank being a lot smaller and lighter and allow for longer periods of being underwater.

Nope. Because our urge to breath comes from CO2 concentration.

But we need oxygen constantly for cellular respiration, wouldn't the oxygen still run out eventually?

Misleading photo and caption. It is a crystalline substance and needs to be heated to release oxygen.

You wouldnt be able to do anything that uses more oxygen than u can normally take in tho cuz u wouldnt be able to change your "intensity" of breathing
horscht

You put it in a little tank and heat it and you have oxy for 20 hours?
