Heres an idea of how bad the movie was. I saw the movie first then read the book. Within a couple pages i could tell the movie was completely screwed up.

The movie was an abomination! I read the books first and couldn't even get through the movie, it was so bad.

The movie is the equivalent of the Last Airbender movie (that totally never happened)

I hated the film but I still watched it because I like how it brought saphira to life but plot wise it was just utter bull shit -_-

His writing was good for a 14 year old. But it was underdeveloped (which is totally expected). I'd like him to write some more stuff because I think as his writing develops and matures, he has potential to be a really great author.

I never read the books, I listened to them and they were awesome! All four of them, the ending was somewhat unexpected, so definitely worth your while

He was also homeschooled which is an irrelevant but interesting fact that I enjoy :)

Pace is slow AF. I like big books but the slow pace and cliffhangers had me like nO.
