So you want everyone to close their borders? Leave all the innocent people stuck in war torn countries there? Let children grow up in a war zone, seeing dead and injured every other day? Not give them a chance purely because they live somewhere and can't get out?
@guest no they can't close the roads, because what about the persons that lives near the borders and work in another country ? Or what about exports and imports? No country can live self sufficiently
"No country can live self sufficiently "
Lots of countries could do that. Their standard of living would drop, but many could certainly subsist on their own.
Just to let you know I am against all forms of labeling peaceful people just trying to practice their religion and culture as terrorists. We can't fix the world with hate
I've had to correct 2 people in my life, this week, over this. "Why are the muslims so crazy??" Um seriously? It's hard to stay calm and educate them, but wow does the media make it hard for muslims. SMH
You're not wrong. It's the extremists' actions that make people think that "all Muslims are bad". Instead of, or along with, fixing the media we should find a away to " fix" these extremists.
I came here to leave a funny irritating comment but honestly we should stop the hatred. Don't let the bad ones ruin it for the good ones. It's cool to joke and all but leave the hatred out of it. In every community there are the bad and there are the good. Don't generalize all for the actions of the bad.
I'm saying that 4chan isn't the only "offensive" website there is. Plus, /b/ has become such a shitstorm that they never even do anything than the occasional prank call.
>A girl a went to school with was a total attention seeker

>I asked her why she hurt herself
>She said 'no one loves me' etc. etc.
>'No one loves you?' "what about your parents? Boyfriend?
>Answered my question with something like "they fake it" or some shit like that
>Made sure not to interact with her after that, she was an attention seeker
>End of school comes around and she asks if I want to hang out with her
>I'm not good in these situations, i couldn't say no even though I wanted to

>Hfw I said no way
> ‘Not unless you do a backflip’ trying to shock her into seeing it’s stupid
>Complete shock on her face. She thought I would stop her
>Ehh?!?! A-a-aren’t you going to stop me
>Nah, go ahead, if you really want to do it
>Accepts I won’t stop her and she gets down
She walked up to me afterwards and hugged my in tears. I told her I loved someone else though. She asked me who and I told her to read the first letter of each line
Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing... but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone. But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun(the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)" (Translation is from the Noble Quran) The verse prior to this (190) refers to "fighting for the cause of Allah those who fight you" leading some to believe that the entire passage refers to a defensive war in which Muslims are defending their homes and families. The historical context of this passage is not defensive warfare, however, since Muhammad and his Muslims had just relocated to Medina and were not under attack by their Meccan adversaries. In fact, the verses urge offensive warfare.
There are good muslims, but the book they follow is filled with hate towards all al-fitnah especially jews, I have read that book in one sitting, and it stumped me how all these good people could follow such a book.
Ohh boy here we go.
Exodus 32:27 "Then he said to them, 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.' "
Deuteronomy 21:9 "you will purge from yourselves the guilt of shedding innocent blood, since you have done what is right in the eyes of the LORD."
Isaiah 13:16 "Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be looted and their wives ravished."
Deuteronomy 13:15 "...you must certainly put to the sword all who live in that town. Destroy it completely, [a] both its people and its livestock."
Numbers 15:32-36 "When the Israelites were in the wilderness they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day. Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to the whole community. They put him in custody, because there was no clear instruction about what should be done to him. Then the LORD said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death; the whole community must stone him with stones outside the camp.” So the whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, just as the LORD commanded Moses."
The Quran and The Holy Bible have rape, bloodshed, slaughtering of innocent people, the murder of children and babies. They're both messed up. And yet Christians don't get any flack as a whole for worshipping such a book with these monstrosities?
Give me aminute, I am about to sleep.
Gathering sticks in itself is not wrong. It could be for the purpose of providing a fire for warmth of cooking. The problem is that a man was deliberately and flagrantly gathering sticks in the open on the Sabbath day when God had commanded that no work be done on the Sabbath. This was a direct challenge to God's authority.
(Exodus 31:14)--"Therefore you are to observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people."
Apparently, this was the first public offense against the newly revealed law of God. It was, essentially, being tested. Therefore, the severity of the punishment was to demonstrate to all of Israel the necessity of obeying the Law of God.
Exodus 32:27. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel — What Moses now did was not done merely in the heat of a pious zeal, but by a divine influence and direction; and therefore can be no warrant to others to imitate his example, who cannot pretend to the same authority, and who are placed in circumstances entirely different from those in which he and the Israelites were placed. Slay every man his brother, and every man his companion — Moses being, under God, their chief ruler, at God’s command, passed this extraordinary sentence upon the offenders, without the common process in courts of judicature, requiring the sons of Levi to go armed into the camp, and cut off the most notorious and obstinate offenders, without regard to kindred, friendship, or any other distinction whatever. And there was no fear of their killing the innocent in this case, because Moses had called to himself all that were on God’s side.
Isaiah 13:16 that was retaliation. None the matter, it is not a command for now. What is a command is you seek a just peace before going to war.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. ~ Yeshua/Jesus; Matthew 5:9, KJV
Meanwhile, Islam commands violence, the holy Bible commands peace and justice. It is not a command, all that stuff about killing men who lay with other men, those were the laws of an earthly nation.
Knightangel, I don't mean to be an ass, but you are dumb as hell. Atheists always pull these verses out of their asses and have never actually heard the rest of it. I GUARANTEE that you found those after a quick Google search and copy and pasted them. People use those without any context to try to "prove" that the bible contradicts itself and that it's really evil. Newsflash dickhead! There's a thing called context! I suggest pulling your pretentious head out of your ass and educating yourself on what Christianity is actually about.
You don't think it's a taad bit of over kill to kill a man so slowly over "working" on Sabbath? I'll give you the rest, I appreciate your giving context. My sincere apologies. I wouldn't consider myself an atheist, just a person with many questions.
Thank you, but he was not gathering sticks because he needed them, he was gathering them as a direct challenge to Gods authority.

I don't personally care about your stance on Muslims vs Christians, but to play devil's advocate I have to ask: Don't you think saying "I completely understand all the context of this holy book that's not mine" while simultanously telling Knightangel "you obviously can't understand the context of this holy book that isn't yours" is a little bit hypocritical and colors your argument a bit negatively?
I'm not saying he can't understand, I'm saying that he just does not understand

But the argument seems to be the same. "I understand that even though it's not mine, but you clearly don't understand it because it's not yours." There are plenty of Christians that actually understand Islam, and plenty of atheists who actually understand Christianity. I do not see a display of either one of those here.
When did he say he does not understand it because it isnt his?

Given that he equated knightangel right off the bat with atheists who have never read the Bible, don't know the context, and only found yhe quotes on Google, that's pretty much exactly what he did.
If he had an understanding of Christianity he wouldn't be talking crap about it. Why is it that when people generalize Christians and talk crap about them it's ok???
It's not any different from the past. Same thing happened with the Japanese and germans in world War 2 and communists in the cold war. History repeats itself.
I'm sorry what? What does she have to do with anything? A bunch of terrorists killed more than 100 people in Paris, but no let's turn this into, "let's not blame all the Muslims". Way to make this about you.

Spoken by somebody who will probably be out yelling "deport all Muslims" at some point.
What? I literally said that we should probably focus more on what happened and not have a blame game. Speaking of which I know there's a bloody difference between extremists and regular Muslims.
But a lot of people don't get that actually, some assholes don't get the difference between normal muslims and extremists. And with the attacks in Paris people are becoming more and more racist
Assuming this OP is real: From a parental POV, why is your seven year old daughter in an enviroment where she hears that type of language? What edvantage could your daughter possibly have for knowing the ins and outs of extreme terrorist murder at the age of 7!? You are not a victim here, the dead, injured, and their famies are! Do your job as a parent and teach your daughter about right and wrong. Dont blame the innocent words of a child on a society.
you don't understand, don't you?! this is the age where media is everywhere, whether you want to ignore it or not. I can guarantee everyone hears this, even pre-schoolers. Unless you live under a rock, you can't avoid this news.
Lots of countries could do that. Their standard of living would drop, but many could certainly subsist on their own.
It's not the media. It's Muslims. Muslims are making it hard for Muslims.
