There's a song by mcr (my chemical romance) called "welcome to the black parade" and the beginning is just a piano played over and over again a few times. The piano note is the g note.
It doesn't need to be "cool or unique" it just needs to be a good song that people like. If it was played on radio stations that means it was popular. It's not pathetic, if anyone is pathetic it's you. We're punk, not hipsters.
okay but listening to a shit ton of bob marley songs and similar artists would make you reggae, right? same with this situation - it's rare to find someone who likes this song ONLY of all the emo/pop punk/alternative stuff out there and call themselves emo.
Good point. But I'm saying the obsession with this one song is ridiculous. Half these kids were in diapers when it came out. (Bring on the comments saying that doesn't matter)
You're very right, it doesn't matter. I wasn't born when Bohemian Rhapsody came out, but that doesn't mean I can't like it. And I can like Vivaldi's four seasons as well. I could name so many songs that were created before I was born that I like and that many others do.
What would you even classify as emo anymore? Cause there's actual emos that wear dark eyeliner and clothes and stuff and are depressed but now there's just a lot of people that like mcr and fob and call themselves "emo"
