I remember reading a story about a girl. She was at lunch and drawing and this girl came up to her and was like " oh wow how are you so good " and she saw the fancy inking pens she had ( probably some of those sakura ones, why would you bring expensive ones to school ) and scoffed and was like " oh " and left. As if the pens made her work better all of a sudden.

I don't have a job related to my degree, but I did learn one important thing from majoring in art - how to take something that came out looking nothing like what was planned and explain to a supervisor why it's superior to the intended result.

Same with writing. People can make it look so easy, but it's really not. You can plan out everything perfectly in your head but the second you try to actually write it down, it's like your mind goes blank and you don't know what to do with your hand. Or you'll think something is good while you're writing it, then later you realize it's actually shit. And, as with most things, no matter how confident you are in what you've produced, you constantly worry that it's not good enough. That your plot is too dull, your characters are too flat, etc. Point is, it's not easy and it takes a lot to stick with it.

I tried art in school, thanks to Bob Ross. Yeah he lied about how easy it is. Props to those who can do more than my stick figures.

Good. Because it will prepare you for the fact that 99% of the time you won't make as much money as anyone with a real degree. But maybe you are the next broke , dead artist whos' art becomes classic after they die.(sry I'm in just say what you think mode.)

My friends are art majors and they have no social life. If i wanna see them i have to go to the college buikding they are at and chat while they work

If you think that is bad, try going through a science program.

Cool but, it's a dying medium. We need more plumbers than we do artists. I should know, music is muh liiiife, but Ima study business so if it don't work out then bam i'm still set.

I wouldn't say it's lazy, but it's certainly a different type of challenge than my business degree.
