This makes me feel like I'm an overprivlaged white person, who shouldn't worry about my petty, first-world problems, because thousands have it worse than me.
I think thats the point, though honestly race isn't really relevant. A lot of non-white people have it a heck of a lot better off simply because of where they live.
I don't think its supposed to make you feel bad. I think its just supposed to make you feel aware. Like its really difficult for me to imagine that the majority of people don't get enough to eat even though I know its true purely because I'm always surrounded by people who are well nourished and thats what I see everyday.
Seriously? This makes you feel worthless and takes away all your feelings so you are not sure if you're dead anyway or if dying was maybe the only way out for you? This kinda depressed?
But when you think about it there's actually a lot of whites since they didn't sub-divide into Asians, Latinos, blacks etc. and you could divide it further than that

Ugh guest, you don't get the point: theres two relevant colors apparently: white and non-white. Now you come and state that actually some of the non-whites may be whites? As if this was up for a subjective point of view.
Isucketc.: where did I call you racist? I called you a bad coper because a few numbers seem to make you "depressive". I still don't get, what is so bad about less white people, Garlog seems to have an idea, calling this "reasonable", but I don't. I'm curious though.
Technically the term racist could be see as accurate however, because you think in terms of races. As the science of population genetics has found already 30-40 years ago, there are no real "human races", so I try not to use this label. There are better labels for people who believe in races. One of those would be "misinformed".
Garlog: why do you care?
"Now you come and state that actually some of the non-whites may be whites?"
He didn't say that.
"Technically the term racist could be see as accurate however, because you think in terms of races."
Racism is an ideology that states that one or more races are superior to other races. Just thinking terms of race doesn't make you racist.
"Garlog: why do you care? "
It's weird and I'm curious.

"He didn't say that." - Right you are, that single malt made me misread his post.
--
"Racism is an ideology that states that one or more races are superior to other races." - That's a very narrow definition, and it would barely qualify a registered klansman as racist. You cannot pick one out of various definitions and make it the only valid, or you will be asked why that and no other.
--
"Just thinking terms of race doesn't make you racist" - Who else but a racist would give a shit about race, and why? Its actually part of the various definitions of racism, just not the one you picked.
--
"It's weird and I'm curious." - I don't believe that for a second. I found it quite peculiar, that you wrote Isucks remark was *reasonable*, meaning "agreeable to reason or sound judgement, logical". So what exactly makes his remark *reasonable*? I would not have said anything in your direction if you had called it *natural*. And I don't believe this just slipped through. You Sir, have an agenda.
"That's a very narrow definition, and it would barely qualify a registered klansman as racist. You cannot pick one ~ no other. "
Enlighten me. What's your definition of racism?
"Who else but a racist would give a shit about race, and why?"
Geneticists, doctors, historians, anthropologists...
"So what exactly makes his remark *reasonable*?"
Like I said, it's reasonable to want there to be more people like you. They're inherently more relatable and familiar.
"You Sir, have an agenda."
And what might that be?

Let the internet enlighten you. There are lots of sources with a scientific approach. Talking science: geneticists, doctors, historians, anthropologists usually know that there are no human races. And how is it "reasonable" that you relate better to people of your color? In what way do they have to differ from you to be less relatable, and in what way? And how would that be less reasonable? Your agenda? You are a fucking racist trying to sell your hate mongering as reasonable and based on evidence.. Now is probably the point where you start lying about your non-white friends.
Geneticists know there are solid genetic differences between races, doctors need to know your race to know if your more susceptible to certain diseases, historians deal with how different races rose and declined over time and such, and anthropologically there are objectively three races.
"And how is it "reasonable" that you relate better to people of your color? In what way do they have to differ from you to be less relatable, and in what way? And how would that be less reasonable?"
People of the same race as you have generally gone through similar social and cultural experiences as you have.
"You are a fucking racist trying to sell your hate mongering as reasonable and based on evidence.."
Where did I say I hated anyone?
Still waiting for that definition of racism, by the way.
It's perfect to single out a derided, scapegoated people?

"It's perfect to single out a derided, scapegoated people?" - That's exactly how this is done with minorities. If you want to single out a group of people, such a group would be perfect. Also here I don't believe you misunderstood me.

Why single out whites?
