If you just focus on Europe I guess. And maybe for recent centuries. But go back far enough and it becomes clear that world history doesn't revolve around Europe... so much of our history lies in Asia and Africa as well... though I will say the Mediterranean area

If you're European, it probably seems like that to you as your school curriculum focuses on Europe, specifically your own country, more than the rest of the world. If you're American, you have very little history, so you borrow Europe's as it's the country of your ancestors (unless you're a Native American). I'd say Asian kids focus mostly on Asian history, but I have no experience to further prove this.
