There's transportation issues as well so even if there was money how we would transport it is the issue.

You say there is a money problem but we can afford to give billions of dollars to a single person for picking the right combination of numbers.

You don't really understand the concept of a lottery.

Lottery money comes from ticket sales. Thats why the jackpot increases as more tickets are sold. Its not like its from the government

I understand the lottery. I'm just saying, if we can all give that money to one person because we get the tickets, why can't we give the money to people that need it? Like build more homeless shelters so they aren't all full, and help get people back on their feet. I understand the concept of the lottery, what I don't understand is why everyone is so greedy. And I said we because a lot of people play the lottery. It just made sense to say that.

Yeah we have the technology to turn salt water into pure water, but it's still very expensive, not to mention the environmental impacts.

ok, we have the technology to turn salt water into normal water, but we still don't have enough energy to do that. It's now too expensive. If we could spend more money for the nuclear fusion, we could have enough environment-friendly energy to do that and all the other things, like electric cars and things like that. Electricity wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately a lot of countries need to sell petrol so they don't want it.

we do have enough energy, its just a matter of money and if the government really wants to do it. take california for example. america has power, but do you think the have the money to build desalinization plants? no, otherwise they would.
