I'm sure it was common, I still remember shooting my 9th grade English teacher in her somewhat wide ass with one, I hated her! They never found out who did it so the whole class got lunch detention that week.

was it worth it?

Since she had a bad habit of referring to all her students as stupid (most of us had various learning issues/ disabilities) hell yes!
