So if you were born on an American space station or spaceship would you then be American? Or would countries own certain sections of space around the earth/mars and so you would fall under their umbrella?

If a space ship was launched from america the american laws would still apply to them in space. So if a baby was born there it would be american

I'm more concerned what would happen when we conquer more than one system or galaxy. Imagine that. "I think we used to go to a same school. Where are you from?" "I'm from "the Hutt space",you?" I mean these city-state planets (one city = whole planet) aren't there because there's no more space in space. It just became stupid to say "I'm from Venice, the U. S. Venice not Italian" to a Martian human cause there will no more be states even if we don't have planetary cities we'd be united as one planet cause everything else is too complicated, for extraterrestrials (Piccard is French, but francais went obsolete, imagine him saying I'm actually not Parisian I'm from Burgundy. From what?) and if they leave the states just like now, Utah or Wyoming in USA or Luxemburg in EU, you won't pass the Colonies border patrol with multipass saying Steve Garglblorg, Georgia, Earth .You could be from Asia or N. America so they'll just make it one city one state planet.Where u from? Earth.
...but would that be enough? I'm Zorba, Nal Hutt,or you'll have to add Hutt space, Milky way?(?!!) such and such cluster (even "this reality and dimension and multiverse") for Yuuzhan wongs. Would they care then if you are from Earth, Coruscant or Seoul, or Seoul, Korea. No! Just like noone cares if you're from parisien Piccards or you are from Paris, Texas Piccards, you just need to write down Meesa Jar-Jar Binx from Yuuzhan dependency of Milky way. If you wanna make small talk to a potential high school crush.. No sex for you, my friend. Even if they named your school after war Yuuzhan Wong hero or Emperor unificator of galaxies how much do you think there are schools with the same name. But for now, I mean for the 22nd and a half century, you do realise that you at first put colonies on Mars, I don't know New New Mexico or something, so like when you are from Novosibirsk you don't write Novosibirsk Asia, even though you should, it sounds Russian but Russia is in two continents (Sibe
(Siberia is in Asia anyways for those of you who don't know, never been to goulags and stuff, but it doesn't sound that easy to figure out Sibirsk is in Siberia for a man from Utah),nevertheless you don't write continent. Just town and country. And planet. Or is it unnecessary. There are no two Russias. For now. When we move on to five hundred planets and 50 Russias (including 10 New Russias )and Novi (New) Novosibirsk and new New Mexico (Mexican colony actually) then it'd be OK to state a planet. Novi Novosibirsk Novaya Russia (the one on New Pluto near Nova supernova) but no need for planet of birth for now just like we don't say Istanbul, Turkey, Europe. Even if there are two I don't know,Stalingrads, one in Europe Russia one in Asia. It's Stalingrad, Russia(no Europe, no Earth), Obamatown, New Newfoundland (no Mars Antarctica, no Mars) for now. Until we (or Yuuzhans)unite our solar system. And beyond. Also we'd need to change name of our Sun. And moon, for those born on it! v
