You know how things get into fashion? When people wear them a lot. So do your part to improve the world and bring cloaks back into fashion!!!
I'm ordering mine right now.

small capes for women are sort of flirting on the edges right now, i see a LOT of the wealthier women come through the airport wearing them right now

This is a theory, but it's possible that they went out of fashion because you can conceal bombs and other contraband within them.

I own several cloaks. Womens cloaks always have been and still are in fashion. Someone asked me the other day if my cloak was to power level up.

Aaand this is why "Wizards" wear capes and cloaks :P
