This was a pretty good short story. Thought I'd share it with all of you.

Someone either write this or make it into a movie

I think it would make a pretty good book. Maybe it starts off with the girl and the doctor getting off the train because of that, and then they start walking down the street trying to get a cab and notice a few other people are the same way, leaning against a wall dead or something. Throughout the story they are both trying to figure out what is going on and they make it to an abandoned hospital where it all started. Maybe it's a virus or something like that, and it's killing people. Or it could be something that was recently put in a common type of medicine that people are taking and it slowly started to kill them. Idk.

I just think viruses and creepy hospitals are a little cliche. I find humans to be far more creepy

It is, but that's why it's good. It wouldn't be cliche if it didn't work. I do like the idea of a cult being behind it all though. I think that would make for a pretty good book and then movie.

Isn't that kind of the premise for the walking dead
texasranger

Yes and like every popular zombie show/movie out there. I just think this plot is better with a cult of sorts

Not really. The Walking Dead sorta takes place all over Atlanta and many other places.

So two people are carrying a corpse why does it affect her
▼
texasranger

Because they obviously killed her and are a danger to her. Besides just imagine a time when you were on a train and the person across from you was actually dead, murdered for that matter.

Thats part of the thrill for all we know the doctor could actually be the villian. A good thriller or any story for that matter makes you ask questions. If it answered all of them right away whats the point in reading on.

The grammar kind of ruined the unsettling feeling they were going for... :T

So because he's a doctor...he can just tell that someone is dead? Even if their face is not visible, he just knows?

Well he could probably see that she wasn't breathing or that she was unusually pale.

yeah they are called "signes of true death" and we learn them in med school : lividities, rigor mortis (stiffening of the body), algor mortis, cadaveric looking eyes. Besides that, if you saw a death body once it's imposible not recognize it again .. in less then 30minutes the whole body has a specific aspect. Nice story though...

Sounds like the author is quite young. But keep it up! You'll get better! This could be the next Stephen King we're seeing ya'll.

And as soon as they start walking away, the doctor's like "Jk, lol I'm actually a serial killer but thanks for getting away from the eyewitnesses tho"
