Umm, no. Wonder Woman for one is based off the Amazons mentioned in Greek Mythology. Now is Diana Prince herself, or Wonder Woman mentioned in OUR Greek mythology, no but the amazons, her race are. Also as of New 52 she is indeed the daughter of Hippolyta and Zeus. They decided to make her clay birth story a lie she and others were told so that Hera would not punish her since Zeus once again could not keep it in his pants.So..actually, you're wrong. Especially since the picture of WW in this post is from the New 52 era, it's best to assume they want a battle between Thor and the current Wonder Woman.
mrclever, I don't remember that episode....at least not anything about her being Hades daughter, I always thought they stuck with the clay birth story in all the animated stuff. Even so, even if she is its still technically canon. DC basically considers the animated shows their own universe so whatever happens there and in their comic book extensions (the ones based off the tv series I mean) is canon. Technically.
That's also probably true. I'm not sure if DC itself considers that tv series it's own universe it's own canon but it probably does considering they do so for Smallville and such, well at least now they do. Back then I imagine fandom wasn't really something they worried about until they started retconning stuff.
But that's also just more proof that the Amazons are indeed Greek despite the discrepancies in who "fathered" them.
When she's Athena and Greek, no. When she's Minerva and Roman, yes. (Also, careful mentioning that around the Percy Jackson fandom, it kinda sets them off :))
I'm in the fandom though XD
They mention it in the books too though, Annabeth says that children of Athena are born from her thoughts not intercourse, just like Athena herself was born from Zeus's
To be honest, it doesn't matter if she's the daughter of a god or not. In comics, she EARNED the title "Goddess of War," and she does a damn good job keeping up with it. Her fighting skills and powers are what are called into question, and to be honest, in marvel comics as well as Norse mythology, Thor's not all that great of a fighter. he's got his hammer which gives him super strength, flight, and power to control storms. He has training to fight, but he's arrogant and rely's purely on his sheer might. Wonderwoman is every bit as strong as he is. hell, she took down SUPERMAN. Plus, her uniform is FORGED BY HEPHESTAS. also, she's got the lasso of truth which is unbreakable, a sword capable of killing GODS, and an impervious shield along with her magic bracelets which have repelled even magical lightning countless times. She's faster, just as strong, and has years of training she uses all the time. her sword and shield match the might of Thor's hammer easily.
Since wonder woman is designed solely for sex appeal, and since submissive women make adolescent males more horny, wonder woman will lose, preferably surrendering in a revealing, weak, sexual, and pathetic position.
Guest, wonder woman's main role is to give women a hero. Now while she does have sex appeal that's not why she was created. In fact a lot of her traits and such came from the mind of the creator's wife. She's was ceased to basically show that you can be badass and pretty at the same time. And quite frankly, I don't think I've ever seen Wonder Woman submisive, of anything it's her ability to dominate that turns people on.
