Can someone explain to me why people are even saying this lately? My brother has picked up on it, and I don't really think he understands what a prank is, because he proceeded to punch me or trip me up mid-walk and exclaim 'it's just a prank, bro'.

Basically, people do stupid stuff, and even if it hurt someone, just brush it off by saying "It's just a prank bro". It makes fun of "pranksters" who really take pranking too far.

There's a ton of extremely cancerous youtube "prank" channels that all do fake "pranks" with actors that are either extremely sexual, violent, a straight up crime, or harassment to get views. And they always yell "it's just a prank bro!" As they get "beaten up" by the big black guys that are paid actors they were harassing in the "prank"
