The Hitler point is absolute bullshit and I fucking hate it when that's used as an argument against Christianity. Stalin was an atheist, and one of the fucking many many many many many many many many groups of people stalin targeted, religious organization were one of them. [insert long reason it was done, TL:DR, communism]. Does that mean everyone who is an atheist is stalin-like? No. Obviously. If you want to argue against a belief, don't target the people who believe it, target the doctrine. (I'm an atheist btw)
Probably. He was inhuman and just..terrible..in the suffering he created.

I'm agnostic but I hate people like this. You shouldn't attack anyone for their beliefs. If your beliefs are the same, great, talk and share and have a good time. If not, calling them a bigot just because of their religion makes you a bigot and a hypocrite and you need to sit the fuck down and shut your mouth. Most Christian people I know are the kindest chillers people I know, we may not agree on beliefs but we can still get along just fine because we accept that people are diverse and different and that's okay
YES, I hate when people just start making ignorant comments about religion / Christianity... especially in a culture with values that came out of Christianity. It's like writing anti establishment posts on Facebook from your iphone that your parents bought you...
I'm a pretty staunch atheist, but the only time I give my opinion about somebody else's belief system is if they ask me. Otherwise, it's none of my damn business.
Ha, thank you, but I just try to prove that atheism is really about the right of the individual to believe what they want without persecution or questioning, so long as that belief doesn't harm others.
I find it funny that people use the Hitler was a Christian argument when the Nazi party has attributed their ideals to Friedrick Nietzsche, the crazy atheist who coined the term "God is dead"

He was also a nihilist. Just throwin' that out there.
Not sure why downvoted, you're absolutely right. I don't care if you believe in an invisible man in the sky as long as you don't try to justify being an asshole with out of context Bible quotations.
The post is referring to the annoying atheists who go against religion at every possible opportunity. Garlog and I are saying that there's no point in doing that unless a person is a Bible-thumping lunatic who actually tries to disprove science etc. The correlation is clear here.
I've had friends if mine deal with things like this while walking out of church or the centers, were they go for meetings sometimes, without any provaction. Make it sound like all christians are Jesus in your face asswipes, while there are a number of them, most of us just don't give a rats ass.
Literally what I was saying.
I also like how people automatically downvote everything garlog related without even reading it. Such an accepting and not at all prejudiced society.
Assuming that the poster is "a bible thumping lunatic that trying to disprove science" by posting this is just idiotic though. Just sounds like you're unable to take a joke and got butthurt because you like poke fun at believers
I never assumed that. Please read the thread again.
Edit: since you're clearly not about do to that and just downvote me instead (I just love the "logic" of the people who do that), I'll enlighten you. If I understood his comment correctly, Galrog said that there is no point in going against religious people unless they are trying to justify something with their religion. He was for some reason downvoted, to which I reacted, because what he said is pretty much common sense. So again, for those who are either too lazy or too dumb to read properly and just post out of context words, then brand me a whatever makes them feel better about themselves: You can believe in anything you want, I don't care. However, if you'll try to justify bad behaviour by your religion, we have a problem. Also, if you understood IF and UNLESS, you'd get that I was giving examples and I never said OP is any of those.
(I really hope you're not a native English speaker, by the way. If you were, oh boy, oh boy.)
