A bigger joke is that the OC and the asshole at the bottom don't understand that there's a *HUGE* difference between the guy better at Google than you in the IT department down the hall at the home office and the IT Engineers that design the IT infrastructure of buildings, cities and countries AND how all of that connects and talks to each other.
These days, when designing big buildings, the structural, electrical and mechanical engineers must work hand in hand with the IT engineer... and for most companies technology needs, in most cases, his word trumps all.
Not to mention literally all of them are just guessing something in their field so they can look like the smart one like a) get out of the damn car and look at the engine compartment or b) it might be one of those things where it just doesn't want to start the first time and you have to try again (aka turning it off and then on again). (I assume that happens, like the thing in horror movies?? idk, I've never driven a car, but sometimes our manual shift car needs to be restarted if it's in the wrong gear when we try to start it)
There are a number of reasons why a car might not start the first time, like maybe the fuel filter is getting clogged.
Also, a manual transmission car shouldn't be in any gear at all when you start it.
I am an IT person, working in business analysis mostly. It's been years that i say to my friends "i'm not an engineer, i'm just good with solving problems of all kinds, mostly with computers".
They continue telling others that i'm an IT engineer.
So, goes both ways...
