True but a lot of soccer players use their money to give to charities

Can't you say that about any occupation in comparison to the military?

This argument is so old, and honestly, I can't understand how people haven't figured out why athletes make millions more than people with more important jobs (doctors, firefighters etc). It's not like anyone thought that all thos soocer players SHOULD earn that much money. They earn all that money because of all the things AROUND the soccer game itself. Commersiality, sponsorship deals etc.

That's because professional sports are a part of the entertainment industry. They make the amount of money that they do for the same reason actors make the amount of money that they do, which is also more than soldiers.

And more than doctors and surgeons

That's terrible if the soilders weren't there you would all be dead so at least give them more money than a sports player
