Ok..I'm actually a dietitian, and..yes there are good fats and bad fats, yes sugar and other parts of your diet contributes to weight gain, but sugar isn't the only reason you gain weight. Fats in your diet does make you fat. Your own article: "The notion that fat makes you fat has dominated our culture and public policy for over five decades, but as nutrition science has evolved we finally now understand that dietary fat doesn’t necessarily make you fat. In fact, good fats in the right amounts are vital to a healthy body."
Notice how it says "Necessarily" and talks about "Good fats IN THE RIGHT AMOUNT" those are some very key words. Sugar is good in the RIGHT amount, and sugar is already in almost all of our foods anyway so is sodium. ESPECIALLY if you eat processed foods. You have to remember that we need sugar, sodium, fat, and all of these things are required to be healthy...IN THE RIGHT AMOUNT.
People think they have to eat less to be skinny and it's not true, you have to eat right eat light and eat frequently. Getting some sort of protein every two hours really speeds your metabolism your body actually burns calories by digesting food so rating simple things that break down quickly helps maintain your weight. I honestly eat almost 2k calories a day but I work out regularly eat right and at the right time
It is actually malnourishment. See, they aren't getting the nutrients they need from eating what they want and around the age of 25-30, they will no longer be skinny, trust me.
