I suggest Google plus and join at least 4 communities. You'll have plenty of pics to share... It they are the right size.

You can also try pintrest. It's not ALL cooking recipes and "do at home" projects.

Google plus is boring

Not if you enter the right communities. It can be more interesting than Facebook.
