Get the fuck over it. Everyone was affected by that day. if you cant laugh at what happened, the terrorists have won. Get over your self you self-indulged prick.
OP - Keep that shit up
Yeah. I'm sure if we're all laughing the terrorist will realize they have been defeated and all give up, in fact I read that's how we won WW 2.
My opinion, the joke is in poor taste, doesn't me I'm offended by it. It just means that for an audience of Funsubstance it's not a great joke.
@dickburger eat shit. Everyone was affected by that day, yes, but there are degrees of being affected. For instance, until August 2001, my parents worked for Cantor Fitzgerald which occupied floors 101-105 of Tower 1. Please tell me how people that knew no one who died is the same as losing over 600 former colleagues. We will never laugh at what happened. Get over yourself you insensitive prick.
There is a different between laughing at an enemy, and laughing at the actions of your enemy has taken against you. A joke about Hitler having one testicals is one thing vs. a joke about gas chambers and Jewish prisoners, most groups would think it crossed a line.
It's like telling an Orthodox Jew a gas chamber joke, and when you can see it hurt him, you tell him to laugh or Hitler won. Or telling a group of parents and relatives of school shooting a joke about killing kids, and when they still feel that pain, telling them that the shooter won because they can't laugh. Its asinine to think some people wouldn't think it's funny, and pretty callous to justify your reasoning with, "laugh it off or they won."
Sorry that other people can laugh at things you can't.
You give examples of things certain people wouldn't laugh at, and then you say that people like me and dickburger aren't allowed to, even though I'm at least 100% sure I'm not a Jew, or a victim of a school shooting?
I know where the line is. There's a difference between "jet steel can't fuel my beams" and "hahaha your grandpa died on 9/11", or at least there is for me. That's where it ends for me. I don't laugh at stuff like "your mom was on Windows on the world" because that's terrible, but a mild "Hitler's Quality Ovens: Bake *Things* the Reich Way" can be funny every now and then. I'm not going to laugh at what you want me to laugh at, okay? So restrict your tits!
Yes its offensive but seriously?
Look, anytime something bad happens, I try to find a way to laugh. Why? Because laughing makes everyone feel so much better, even if it's in bad taste.
FUCK YOU I WAS IN CLASS AND STARTED LAUGHING UNCONTROLLABLY! And I'm sorry to whoever posted this that everyone in the comment section is a Tumblr/college crybaby and is getting all triggered and offended.. This is fucking hilarious.
This happened in 2001. That is 14 years ago. This is the same year Wikipedia went online, Ipad released an Ipod and Shrek, the philosophers stone and monsters Inc came out! Yes it was traffic but people, you need to calm down. This is a joke. 14 years later is NOT too soon for these jokes
Is it ok to make a joke about a member of someone's family being brutally murdered if it's 14 years later? Or is that kind of behavior only acceptable for mass tragedies?
Honestly, just because you think something is ok doesn't make it so. The vast majority of people would find it wildly offensive, and some of them would punch you square in the mouth.
I make jokes about mass tragedy and individual murders all the time. Not to cope with depression, but because I'm an asshole and find it terribly hilarious. Give me any murder or tragedy and I'll make a joke out of it. Just what I'm good at.

Love it, and im 100% Jewish.

everything that is even remotely funny is going to be offensive.
so much traffic was endured that day.
the mothers love me
Theo, I understand it's sensitive but really each person has their own sense of humour. It's how many cope with tragedy.
I'd prefer to laugh about something lightly than be depressed about it forever
Bonus round, Columbine.
