This lion wasn't an issue, it was later "pets" which in turn is what completely changed her mind about the subject of anyone keeping exotics as pets. Tippy Hedren even went on to create a sanctuary for abused and exploited exotic animals, as well as those purchased as pets but abandoned.

Yes, but that was several years later. They had the idea, wanted to live with a lion to "see how it went" and basically rented this one, Neil. After that they got their own cub, the started rescuing and created a reserved then filmed the not so brilliant movie in their own house against the advice of just about every big cat authority in existence. As a rule those animals did not live in the house, they were from the reserve. It was still a truly idiotic move, which she admits to this day. The movie and having them in the house, not the sanctuary and rescuing them.
i just watched the trailer for "Roar" on imdb, funny, it even states "no animals were harmed during the making of this film", no, but they were killed, not to mention the random reading of "ROAR" in a bland and dull voice
No matter how big the cat they still get between you and typing even if it is a typewriter instead of a computer
