Subs to me are better because your able to experience the raw emotion behind the character. There are a few tho that dub have been better. Cowboy bebop, fma, even Pokemon for nostalgia reasons
Trigun I consider to be about equal between the two. And it isn't always a fair comparison, because sometimes a dub is inferior due to things totally out of the voice actor's control, like if the translation was poorly done, or because it was just a hack job localization in general, with censorship run amok.

Subs are better in my opinion but when I used to watch 'em with my cousin we always watched dubs so either way is fine with me
I almost always watch the sub first unless a) it's a long series (especially if it's one that I'm only watching so that I can criticise it, e.g. Bleach) or b) I know the English dub to be of high quality and/or contain J. Michael Tatum (Cowboy Bebop and Black Butler, for example). I also often go back to series that I've seen subbed to check out the dub. A lot of the time I'm pleasantly surprised (especially Terror in Resonance) but sometimes... less so (such as early on in Future Diary. What sort of line is "Are you yanking my chain?" Especially when your stalker just kissed you and warned you of your impending death?). There are both English and Japanese voice actors whose voices and characters I absolutely love, and I see no reason to act as if either language is inherently inferior to the other.
I try to keep to sub. I only watch Pokemon, ouran high school host club and lucky star with dub because of the puns and haruhi and konotas voices fit them better in the dub rather than in the sub.
Besides the fact that reading the dialog can cause you to miss critical action on screen, the last time I watched a subbed anime, it gave me a low level migraine that lasted more than a day.
Besides, if your reaction is the one depicted above, you need to stop watching shit dubs. There are good dubs and then there are the shitty ones.
For me it all depends on how the voice acting sounds and which I prefer for example I can't watch opm with dub but shows like bleach I prefer the dub but some shows it doesn't matter like attack on titan they both good
I don't mean to sound lazy but I like dub animes better. Sometimes I can't read the subtitles fast enough and I miss stuff.

I just prefer hearing English instead of reading, it's really that simple. Especially if it's an action oriented anime when I'm focusing on what's going on.
I get all of the arguments here in the comments about dubs vs subs. I only watch subs because of the small chance of some wonderful, wonderful engrish.
Anyone else just watched Dragon Ball Super's new episode?
