Dang, I've never been able to escape them where ever I lived. Every February they pop up live cookie peddling weeds in front of every grocery store around
The desert. And maybe it's because of the heat or the city's reputation not being the best when it comes to children. You get 100 points if you guess correctly.
I know. I guessed you lived here too because of some of your comments but I wasn't sure. Nice to know there's another of our kind. But I have never ever seen one. Ever.
Every Smiths every weekend in February. And they will literally jump in ftont of your cart to stop you and hauk their cookies. It's ridiculous. I intentionally avoid Summerlin stores that time of year because those little girls are vicious and the adults aren't much better.
Once I told them, as I was leaving "sorry no cash" to be nice and tried to move around and the girl actually grabbed my cart and told me to "go get a drink or something and get cash back".
Wow. I'm sorry if this offends you but if they went to those extremities, I would not hesitate to yell, be rude, or even get physical. Not like hitting or something, but like pushing aside or pulling a hand away.
Oh, I jerked the cart away and told the manager they were harassing rather than selling. That troop was asked to leave but another took its place. I personally don't buy them and haven't for a while. They've gotten way too expensive. I think $7 a box.
I don't care for Girl Scout cookies. They taste...well..."ok," but the price per ounce is ridiculous. There are many better cookies at the store for much less per cookie. Plus, wth is it with the price? There's no store overhead or sales or delivery? The GS district gets some tiny amount of money. The cookie company must be raking in the dough.
