The problem with NC-17 is that those movies don't get any advertising and many theaters refuse to show NC-17 movies. The documentary "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" shows a lot of insight into this if you're curious.

Or you could just take a nap. My siblings and I knew better than to wake our sleeping parents, even by being too loud, unless it was an emergency. Its called parenting.
