Same irl. That's why i found online gaming to be so fun. I found a group of friends and every night when i get on an invite to the party awaits. It's nice to feel wanted.
And I'm that friend who will step back to talk to you. I am that friend who will interrupt others to let you finish. I am that friend who will wait and maybe ask you to the mall, even though I would rather take you home, swaddle you in a blanket and argue about memes all day. Be nice, everybody. It's not that hard to pay a little attention.
I used to be that friend. It used to make me sad, but it also taught me that I could do things alone. I'm much braver and more independent and I've avheived so much more than those friends... I like to think that things happen for a reason. That was the reson I was left out. There's probably a good reason for you too <3
Same here , in high school. I discovered that it became less so in college, and much less the case later with friends I made at work, in church, and other activities. I think its because "friends" in high school are often same-age people forced to be in the same place. The "friendships" don't stick as much as with those you befriend later by choice rather than in HS because of proximity. Although, a few HS friends might stay in your life.
You could invite people to stuff and never have anyone accept.
