Get it checked out. It could be anything from low blood sugar, to low blood pressure, to veso vegal syncope to something more serious. It took 15 years from the time my symptoms started to when they actually figured out the problem.
I too, thought the same :( but it's not just this... sometimes my brain hurts a lot... left part and sometimes right part like I wanna bang my head on something hard, a wall perhaps >.<
not yet... I had this since high school... my friends would say it's migraine. well I dunno if it is coz I know some who has migraine and most of them cry for the pain is too much to handle and some won't even stand up :) not in my case, it's just painful..
There are different types of migraines which effect different parts of the brain. If this is a recurring issue, which obviously it is, you should bring it up with your doctor
Low blood sugar. Vasovagal syncope (the tiny nerves around your blood vessels don't react accordingly when you stand so they don't expand and contract accordingly and blood doesn't reach the brain momentarily. This is highly common in women in their late teens and early 20s, but also males.) There are also numerous neurological conditions.
I passed out one time at work from hitting my funny bone too hard on the microscope, and I didn't make it to the floor in time. Woke up to the receptionist calling an ambulance. I was so embarrassed.

Very educational, thanks.

I somehow passed out for about 15 seconds from stubbing my toe too hard one time. Human bodies are weird.
It goes all white for me actually. And I usually move when it happens but I can't remember moving. Like I stand up, experience this, and suddenly I'm in the kitchen.
Mine is usually blackness that rapidly clears & I feel faint. Actually have only swooned once. But it all lasts for few seconds. Apparently there's a thing called BPPV - benign positional paroxysmal vertigo.
Very educational, thanks.
