Shit, kick us out, see if we care. If you'll remember, we were a nation on our own before we became a state, and it is written into the Texas Constitution that we can leave the Union if we want. We have a shitload of oil, farmland, cattle ranches, and the largest armored division in the nation. We have ports, industry, in fact, we're one of the few states that could leave the Union and still be pretty much a-ok. Now, am I saying that we should? No, but fuck those of you who say Texas sucks, because we fuckin' rule.
Yeah, but it's better for us to stay with the U.S. Because I believe we signed away our right to leave when we became a state. So, we'd have to start a war to leave and they'd have to do the same to kick us out.

I honestly mostly have fun with it. I'll often say "Texas is the best damn country in America," or something like that, but I love the rest of America too.
You're not wrong. But until that day comes, are you ready to lose a couple million jobs and go into another recession? You can warm yourself burning your own money then.
Assuming you're serious: 1. We can't legally leave 2. Less than 5% of us WANT to leave 3. If we left, Texas and the USA would be worse off. You're stuck with us, so get off your high horse and deal with it.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I love Arkansas. Arkansas was where we visited every summer - it's where my grandparents lived. Arkansas was where we caught fireflies, where my grandma forced us to go shopping for shoes and clothes she thought looked cute on us, where my grandpa tucked us in at night. Arkansas was uncomfortable family gatherings, where my cousins got married, where we helped my grandma buy their first cat after the old one died. Arkansas was childhood.
Yeah but at least you have dry heat there! In Florida, because of the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean it says 85 but feels 100. And then even if you live just ten miles inland from the ocean it goes up by almost 4 degrees. That's the downside of Florida. And I can also see why people would think we're overrated if you aren't a tropical or amusement park kind of person, but the fact that hundreds and hundreds of people are at Universale or much MUCH more from around the would at Disney World REEEAAAALLY tells you something. Another thing, I'm guessing why that worst scenery is higher than best is because it's so flat here. Now, the worst food one? What the flip-diddy fuck? Do you even KNOW how much culture is here other than Hispanic food?! The Asian and Indian based ones are amazing as well! Come on now!
This is pretty biased though because the most people live in texas, new york, and california. Those are the largest/most well known states as well so of course when picking something they're gonna go off what they know and not pick a random state.
being that i lived each state on west coast, lived in new mexico, Virginia, Arizona and travel to many more states Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee. I'd have to say Washington, Oregon and California have been the best states i have lived in, traveled around in and felt most welcomed. east coast.. not so much. but then again this is also looking though eyes of LGBT life.
