I call them car buddies :D And during the night, when a trucker passes me, I flash my brights so they know it's okay. Some will blink their 4-ways in response, like a thank-you. These trucks are happy truckers, and they automatically become truck buddies

I went on a long road trip recently, and despite going 15 miles over the speed limit we still had people passing us and giving us dirty looks after tailgating for awhile when they had ample opportunity and two extra lanes to pass

I only get attached to the ones that displace the most atmosphere in their wake.
