BLM doesn't endorse violence toward police, or anyone for that matter. They advocate for the end of excessive violence toward people of color by law enforcement.
Then why did they ban together and threaten to dox a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD BOY because he was a trump supporter ( he was black too )
There's videos of it and I think more on twitter ?
As with every positive movement, there are people that come along with the wrong idea and with negative intentions that distract people from all the good the movement has the potential to do. Some would argue that because of this marring of the BLM objective by radical "followers" that the entire organization should be done away with. I'd like to assert that an incident of violence (that BLM does not advocate for btw) does not change the original purpose to which BLM was created. Just as a comparison, a spoon was created to be used as an eating utensil, but just because someone may use it to garden does not change it's original purpose. All that being said I think it's important to see BLM for what it is, not what it's been distorted and manipulated to be.
Yeah, race relations have been the worst they've been since the LA riots of 92 and also, I might add that recently they crashed a candle vigil for the Orlando victims and made it about race and basically said that all the people attending were racist cause they were white
I think it may have something to with the perception. BLM isn't black people vs white people or black people vs police by any means. It's just bringing awareness to racially motivated injustice in law enforcement and police brutality. Deadly force should not have been used on all of these unarmed people of color. Failing to signal a lane change, selling cds or cigarettes, or getting out your ID shouldn't result in loss of life.
Well the misconception that black people have more fatal encounters with cops is that a misconception white people have a higher chance of getting killed. And I honestly don't know what you mean by white people in fact your whole convo seems very generalizing. So with this I have no clue what the point of this movement is. In fact a creator claimed that there should be an open season on white people. So with this I am curios to see the end game goal here.
This is the problem with hashtag movements. There's not centralization, so people just do whatever, and you can't really refute their involvement in the movement. Everyone from the people who are actually for an end to violence of some kind to the people shouting about killing cops, to that large-breasted lady who was yelling about killing white babies are all essentially legitimate BLM supporters, and there's isn't really any reliable way to tell who is in the majority or if that majority is large enough to marginalize the others.
While I agree that there are many racists hiding behind BLM I think that you cannot impugn the entire "movement". For a couple years every time a white male committed a violent crime people shouted that the tea party was to blame, now every time a black male commits a violent crime black lives matter is blamed. We have a problem in this country wherein we feel the need to blame a group for the actions of a person. The 24 hour news stations (all of them) have advanced this problem by reporting loose connections and conjecture as cause and fact. Politicians that want you to believe they are serving you push these misinformation campaigns to the next level. Like sheep the American (and worldwide) public follow in lockstep and the truth is never revealed.
(Not you trash man, that is meant for the people saying cops are worse)
