And exactly that happens all the time. For example a lot of drugs are mainly if not only tested on men, rarely on women. Quite a few physical differences are ignored in medical training. Doctors (male and! female) take more time for their male patients. That's what you meant, right? How sensitive!
Unfortunately, the irony is that the more people attempt to close the gap by force, the further it widens. For example, mandatory quotas for companies to hire a particular number of women is a double edged sword as while the numbered of women in that job does increase, they still are not being hired for their merits, as a man would have been. And this issue extends to minority groups too. A complete social restructuring of the way society thinks as a whole would be required to properly close the gap.
We shoudn't make companies hire more women, that will just end badly as previsouly explained. What we should do is give companies a *reason* to hire more women, other than "because they have to". While there is nothing holding women back from getting good jobs, they shouldn't feel like there is.
About 20 years of experience working as import/export merchant on a mid to upper managerial level in four different trades, all of which traditionally dominated by men. Also more than 20 years experience as customer in all kinds of radio shack and home depot like shops.

Kind of ironically there's one (1) field of work where just in recent years women get actually favored: as STEM academics.

Got any of those to falsify my anecdotal experience? Also there are a LOT more studies indicating a number of gaps between men and and women than there are studies backing the opinion these gaps wer gone or never existed.
"Got any of those to falsify my anecdotal experience?"
You have the burden of proof.
"Also there are a LOT more studies indicating a number of gaps between men and and women than there are studies backing the opinion these gaps wer gone or never existed."
Maybe, but we're talking about one specific gap.
But Hitler, did you just call yourself stupid?
No, you see, I am not a man.
I AM A FÜHRER
As long as that is remembered, we can all get along.
You got a source on that?
