My daughter has a phone but it is unable to make calls she can't even call 911. It is pretty much a tablet that is hand size. When she turns 14 she get a real phone but we will monitor it.

It is a hand size tablet. She plays app games like angry birds and cut rope. And it has learning games and book apps. We disabled it so she can't call or text people or people call or text her. She is only 9.

My mother was saying how they had about 16 parents come in on the first day of school this year and ask if the child could have their phone in class. The kids were all in kindergarten.

It's all good as long as it's parental controlled.. My bfs 10 year old relative once asked if he'd heard of this really good website called redtube... -.- it scares me to think about how it'll affect people who are exposed so young
