I fostered a hopeless case dog named Ripley for one night, and she was so happy about it that she was taken off the hopeless case list and adopted two days later! Even if you can't adopt, fostering dogs even for a little bit helps IMMENSELY.
Because my brother suffers from severe Autism and is blind, so they didn't think it was appropriate. When I was an only child, we adopted a puppy (they let us even in spite of my condition) and my brother loved her (until her passing in 2014) :(
From what I've heard, isn't it good for someone with autism to have a pet?

That's what we heard from many specialists, but apparently it would be a danger to both the dog and my brother :/

Just had to send my dogs to a shelter until my family moves out.
Which is going to be half a year later.
Yaaay.
This actually makes me happy as fuck though.
