Unpopular opinion: feminism should be about girls loving other girls, romantically or not. I've encountered FAR too many feminists who hate other women for not being feminists,or for otherwise disagreeing with them, and it makes me sad. Like, some of these women are so caught up in their own bullshit that they can't even be bothered to care about other women. It's sick.
Unpopular: that may have been meaning then but the word has been warped over time and those who hate men (and women who disagree with what many feminists now stand for) are considered feminist. We need to move to something better for both sexes. Like the Don't Be An Asshole movement. Because if you say don't be a dick or pussy, you'll leave a group out. Everyone has an asshole.

Your username relates beautifully to the context of your comment. Bravo!
He actually calls me Flower because the baby skunk in the movie Bambie. He was raised to think of girls as proper ladies that didn't fart or laugh at dick jokes. Oops. Married almost 12 years now so it's working out for us :)
Almost didn't open these comments because I figured it would be full of triggered Meninist / Feminazis... thanks for being cool.
I'm sure most of us agree in race, sex, age, gender relations, most of us are just looking for equality, but there are always a few shits creating a divide with inflammatory rhetoric.
Despite your opinion on what the word "feminist" means, most woman in the US do not like the new feminist movement. This all based on both pew and gallup polls. Only 18% of females actual identify as feminists and men only pole im the single digits. Its never about what the name of the movement means, its about the actions and beliefs of their constituents.
This was a really good explanation. It's amazing to see how bad women had it a while ago. It makes you wonder why now the so-called feminists have to rail against horrific things like some man accidentally calling women "girls" or turning up rocks to find alegeded problems. It's too bad that real feminists allowed Man haters to co-opt the name feminism.
That's why for a long time I did not support feminism, because I thought it means making women more important than men. But I still think the wording should be changed, it still sounds sexiest
Whats to understand they are stupid to think men and women can be on an equal playing field in everything in most cases women arent going to stack up to men so when it comes down to who is best for the job men will win out in most cases theres a reason why men are the alpha and why women arent allowed on frontline combat and why their golf tees are closer and why theirs basketballs are smaller i mean have you ever watched a wnba game its pathetic and thats the best of the best women from all around the world
You're right; there is a reason why societies are patriarchal: women get pregnant and men don't. That's literally the only reason why. Women couldn't work the plows and fields as well as men when they were pregnant or weakened by having children, and their naturally slighter forms only helped to promote this. This led men to believe that as they didn't have to go through pregnancy, they must be better than women. Enter the patriarchy. I'm not disagreeing with you; historically women have been at a disadvantage because of their pregnancies but dear lord can you at least try to not sound like a sexist prick? Also, It's the best women in the US , not the world and for fucks sake don't watch it if you're going to get triggered by it.
Im not triggered by watching wnba its when people like you post stupid shit trying to justify their hate for men and Women come from all around the world to play in the wnba just like any other sports of ours
*confused black guy meme* First of all, there's a reply button for a reason, buddy. Second, I never said I hated men and if you read the post up above it pretty much explains it. Haha, are you okay? Do you need help, buddy?
Listen retard you sound confused and conflicted of what you stand for i dont know What gender you are but saying women need to be on an equal plain as men is like saying an f150 should be equal to an f450 they are not equal like men and women aren't so What specifically needs equalizing besides pay
Hey, friendly acquaintance. I see you still don't know where the reply button is. Here's a hint: it's right under my message by the thumbs. Okay? All I'm asking for is some reasons why men and women aren't equal. :) Alright buddy?
Hmm.. no you didn't. All you said is that men and women aren't equal. Do you still need help finding the reply button though? It's pretty simple; I'm amazed you haven't discovered it yet.
My phones shitty and reply button dosent work what do you care where i put my comments your getting the fucking message your just ignoring the facts of my statements and steering away fon answering my question if what needs equalizing besides pay
Hahaha I'm steering away? Darling, you really ought to read the original post and then give me reasons why men and women aren't equal. Seems to me like you're the one steering away. :)
Your a waste of air its like talking to a fucking 5 year old your like a parrot that repeats what it hears but doesnt fully understand what the fuck its saying

I love this little tidbit about what feminist is The problem is that a lot of misandrist are calling themselves feminists and it's hurting the movement
The rule of thumb thing is a lie. Feminazi's want power to run everything just like every other group. Except they hide behind fake claims of oppression.
And yet, the feminist movement has been thoroughly undermine by misandrists masquerading as feminists.
Also if you're looking for true equality, you'd better be asking to be included in the draft, equal consideration in every m vs f court case (as opposed to now where if a man is accused of sexual assault, he's essentially guilty until proven innocent), call for increased normalcy for men in stereotypically women's jobs (daycare teacher for example), increased understanding of and for men's issues, etc.
Yet, sadly, the loudest voice is proclaiming that a man, and everything he does, is scum.
Like to point out one thing comma rule of thumb was begun in flour mills to see if the flour coming out of the grindstone was fine enough. You would rub it between your forefinger and thumb, if it was fine enough by the rule of thumb it would be sold
If one needs to ramble this much to explain and justify the word "feminism", that's a pretty good explanation of why the word is unpopular to so many. Me included. The term was never a great one to begin with, but now it's downright inconvenient. I don't call myself a feminist. I'm grateful to the women's rights movement for the rights I enjoy, but I'll not lump myself in with today's shrieking, pussy-hat wearing harpies who basically want to demonize and subjugate men (or else be just like them!)
I got that from here;)
