The soft beep would be a constant background noise in Canada

There should be a soft beep for when someone doesn't notice the light is green or someone is walking in the road and doesn't notice a car behind them so the beep is just like "hey, not trying to be mean I just wanted to let you know the light is green or that I'm behind you and could you please go/ move to the side, thank you and have a great day!"

All you have to do is tap the horn quickly. It's not aggressive sounding while getting the message across.

Tap the horn quickly 2 times it means ty. Also if you are trying to pass someone and they move to the side so you can pass you put on your blinkers on and off once to signal ty for letting me pass. It is called courtesy law. In Texas. But some states see it as road rage so be careful.

In Ethanopia or somewhere they completely removed the horns. You can only "blink blink" the lights. I don't know how this helps. In Serbia we blink as a "cops ahead" and "thank you", but sometimes we also blink at the police car, so I guess it means hello.
